Due to increased energy and management costs, our VPS storage provider has decided to relocate several of its virtual servers to a data center with more efficient energy consumption.
The VPS hosting Reef-Underground#2 validator will also be moved. They plan to migrate this server from the data center in Frankfurt, Germany, to Niederlauterbach, France, between September 29 and October 12.
The VPS Reef-Underground#2 validator will be temporarily unavailable during any of this period. The duration of the outage depends on the amount of storage space used by the VPS. On average, this takes approximately 20 minutes per 100 GB. Because this is an automated process, the storage provider cannot influence the exact time slot of execution.
To quickly handle any potential interruption of the validation operations, we have set alerts in place to monitor the server’s activity during this announced maintenance window.
